Actor Nick Adams was only 36 years old when he was found dead, slumped against a wall in the bedroom at his house on El Roble Lane in Beverly Hills. He was a big TV star, portraying Johnny Yuma on the hit show “The Rebel.” Autopsy reports reveal he had enough sedatives and other drugs in his body to cause “instant unconsciousness.” An accidental overdose? Suicide? No drugs were found in his home, leading some to believe he may have been murdered, but those rumors were never backed up with any credible facts, motives, or suspects. In the Feb. 8, 1968 edition of The Los Angeles Times, staff writer Jerry Cohen wrote, “a number of stoppered bottles containing prescription drugs were in a medicine cabinet. No alcohol was found in the actor’s bloodstream, the coroner’s office reported.”
So much for there being no drugs found in Adams’s home.
