One of the most gorgeous actresses living in 1930’s Beverly Hills, was Sylvia Sidney. She was most often cast as a gangster’s leading lady, but had her own troubles that warranted help from the Beverly Hills PD. More on p. 25 in the book, Beverly Hills Confidential.




Sylvia Sidney was not in Hollywood in the 1920s. Born in 1910, she moved to
Hollywood with a Paramount contract in 1930. A shy chlld her parents had her take dancing and acting lessoins in the 1920s. She latter attended The Theater Guild School and became a leading teen-age performer on Broadway.
Thanks for that! Always appreciate being more accurate, her first movie was “Through Different Eyes” in 1929, but you probably already knew that:) The camera really loved her!
